I originally had an Athlon Neos on this Mas 36, but the scope wasn't quite what I needed for elk hunting. I upgraded to the Athlon Argos 4-20×50 and have been very satisfied with it. With the Argos, I have taken this 70-plus-year-old warhorse out to 600 yards with custom ammo and can bang a 15-inch gong with accuracy, clarity, and ease. The turrets, which were an issue with my Neos, are tight and accurate. I am considering buying an Argos in FFP for a Yugo 48 I have. Good stuff!!!
Edit Nov 2022; This rifle scope combo has now made two trips to Colorado and has stood up to everything a 9 day hunt can throw at it, from saddle scabbards to blizzards to back country treks, and still come home accurate enough to consistently hit a 15 inch gong at 700 yards. I trust this brand enough to stake my annual drop camp hunts on. I've also purchased a FFP Argos.
Same Argos and Mas36, and high country mule deer. 285yds
Same Argos at the range at the 500yd mark
The Argos scope stood up to near 0°. Snowstorms, saddle scabbards, gambles oak thickets and held zero when it was needed. I am completely sold on this company!
